About Medicall
Medicall is operated by Usemedicall Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria. Medicall is a digital healthcare directory and patient routing platform. We connect patients to verified hospitals and clinics.
Medicall is not a hospital, clinic, doctor, or other healthcare provider. We do not deliver medical care, diagnose conditions, or prescribe treatments. All clinical decisions and treatment are the responsibility of the healthcare facility you choose to visit.
The service
What Medicall does
- Lists verified hospitals, clinics, and specialists in Nigeria.
- Helps you search, filter, and find facilities by location, service, and other criteria.
- Issues Patient Codes that give you a discount on bills at partner hospitals.
- Logs your visit and applies the discount once your presence at the hospital is confirmed at checkout.
What Medicall does not do
- Provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or recommend treatments.
- Guarantee the availability, pricing, or quality of any healthcare facility listed.
- Replace emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency line.
How the discount works
Your Patient Code, plus proof you were there
To receive the Medicall discount, two things are needed:
- Your Patient Code, generated for you in the Medicall app. It is unique to you and tied to the hospital you intend to visit.
- Proof of presence: confirmation that you were actually at the hospital. You confirm this at checkout in one of two ways: by entering the Hospital Discount Code the hospital gives you at the point of service, or, where available, by a geofence check that confirms your location at the hospital automatically.
Once your Patient Code is entered and your presence is confirmed, the discount is applied to your bill and the visit is logged on the Medicall platform.
Why we confirm your visit
Your Patient Code alone is not enough. We also confirm you were actually at the hospital, either through the Hospital Discount Code you enter at checkout or through a geofence location check. This means no one can claim a Medicall discount at a hospital they did not visit. It protects you, the hospital, and the Medicall platform.
Rules for using Patient Codes
- Each Patient Code is for one visit only.
- Patient Codes are non-transferable. They can only be used by the patient who generated them.
- Patient Codes expire after 24 hours if not activated at a partner hospital.
- Misuse, including sharing a code with another person, may result in suspension of your Medicall account.
Your responsibilities as a user
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a Medicall account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when using the platform.
- You agree not to use the platform fraudulently, including attempting to redeem codes for visits that did not happen.
- You agree not to misuse, copy, or interfere with the Medicall platform.
- You are responsible for confirming the discounted amount with the hospital at the point of payment.
Hospital listings
Medicall lists healthcare facilities based on verification of their licensing and registration. A listing on Medicall is not an endorsement, ranking, or guarantee of the quality of care delivered at that facility.
You should make your own enquiries about a facility's suitability before visiting. Medicall is not responsible for the clinical decisions, conduct, or outcomes of any listed facility.
Reviews and feedback
- Reviews must be honest, based on your actual experience, and respectful.
- Only patients who have completed a Verified Visit can submit a review.
- Medicall may remove reviews that breach these terms, including spam, hate speech, defamation, or content unrelated to the visit.
- By submitting a review, you grant Medicall a non-exclusive licence to publish and use it on the platform.
Intellectual property
The Medicall platform, including the app, website, brand, logo, codes, content, and software, is the intellectual property of Usemedicall Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without written permission.
